Wonder Woman is one of the most iconic female superhero of all times. The character was created by DC comics in 1941 as their first female superhero. Wonder Woman also known as Diana Prince is from a tribe of women called the Amazons. She is known to be extremely beautiful and makes use of her Lasso of Truth, indestructible bracelets and an invisible plan to help her fight crime and villains. Aside from these, Wonder Woman is also known to have super strength, super speed and stamina and flight.
Wonder Woman has been been regarded as a feminist icon, specially during the 40s where most of the superheroes were male. During this period, Wonder Woman joined the Justice Society of America and became the group’s first female member.
Since then, Wonder Woman has been adapted into various media like video games, books, an animated film and even a TV series. The most well-known perhaps is the TV series in the 70s that starred Lynda Carter. Several attempts to create a live-action film has been made though none have started production yet. However, in 2009 an animated film was made with Keri Russell doing the voice acting for the role.
