Emma Frost also known as the White Queen is a comic book character from Marvel Comics. In her first appearance in the X-men comics, the White Queen was a member of the Hellfire Club, an elite organization consisting of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful figures. She frequently appears in the Uncanny X-men comic books as a villain. Eventually throughout the course of her history, she joined the X-men and became their leader and even became the headmistress the Xavier Institute, which is the school for mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier.
The White Queen is most well-known for wearing white, revealing outfits. This was because while she was still in the Hellfire Club, all female members were required to wear lingerie at all times. But she was never uncomfortable with this arrangement and even considers it one of her weapons, giving her an instant advantage over men.
Emma Frost has strong telepathic abilities and has the ability to transform her body into diamond state, this enhances her strength and durability but supresses her telepathic powers. She is also hinted to have telekinetic powers and can levitate objects and individuals. Aside from her powers, Emma Frost is also an intellectual woman and a superb businesswoman, even having multiple degrees in several fields.
She also appears in several other media aside from comic books, most of these are in animated series and video games with the X-men. Recently, she has also appeared in the 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, as a young Emma Frost. In the movie, her only power was turning herself into a diamond, and she has yet to have discovered her telepathic powers.
