The Black Cat also known as Felicia Hardy is a Marvel comic superheroine who has also been an ex-girlfriend of Spiderman. Unlike most superheroes, Black Cat did not possess any super powers or abilities at the beginning, though later she gained powers from the Kingpin. However, she lost her abilities and powers, so her current powers are artificial and mechanical.

Felicia Hardy first became Black Cat to exact revenge on her former boyfriend, however, he died before she could get her revenge. She eventually became a cat burglar and followed in her father’s footsteps. She met Spiderman in one of her heists to free her father from prison and eventually fell in love with him. She and Spiderman even joined forces for a short while.

During this time, Black Cat did not want to become a liability to Spiderman because of her lack of superpowers, so she struck up a deal with the Kingpin to gain superpowers which was a bad luck aura most often associated with black cats. But she learned that she was being used by the Kingpin to bring bad luck to Spiderman. When he learned that she made a deal with the Kingpin, this soured their relationship and they chose to go their own separate ways. However, she lost her powers in a fight with the Chameleon while trying to save Spiderman. Now she only relies on equipment purchased from the Tinkerer to replace her lost powers.
